Foxfield Inn is an elegant country Bed and Breakfast in Charlottesville, VA. We are a 15 minute drive from UVA & restaurants. Within 20-30 minutes you can be hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains, drinking wine at a local vineyard, picking fresh peaches or apples, or visiting historic sites. At Foxfield Inn guests may select from 5 uniquely decorated rooms - three with king beds and two with queen beds. Four of the rooms have fireplaces and jacuzzi bathtubs. All provide a comfortable and relaxing environment. Our common rooms are outfitted with comfy chairs and sofas, providing plenty of space for you to sit and chat or read a book. Or enjoy our park-like backyard which Adirondack chairs and a firepit, a gazebo, a patio where you also might enjoy our delicious three-course gourmet breakfast, and the rocking chairs on the back porch (for those who are staying in the Garden Room). While here make sure you plan plenty of time to spend wandering the historic sites in the area - Thomas Jefferson's Monticello, James Monroe's Ashlawn-Highland, James Madison's Montpelier, and Michie Tavern. Combine that with a trip to some of the award-winning wineries and breweries in the area; or go for a hike in the Shenandoah National Park, drive along Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway with its breathtaking views or go horseback riding, hot air ballooning, and bird watching. End your stay with a tour of the University of Virginia - renowned for its Rotunda, School of Medicine, School of Law, and the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration, not to mention its Cavaliers sports teams.
